We know from experience that American producers tend to spend more money on ADR and Foley than their European and British counterparts. Companies such as: Lionsgate, Sony, and Disney, always expect incredibly high sound standards, whether it’s a fork scraping a plate, or even a knife cutting through a slice of bread, and we know that each track must be accessible later on via sub-group stems because distribution company engineers need to keep control of the mixes.
Each sound effect brings with it a certain level of noise, which is why we don’t import badly recorded FX, but prefer to create almost everything ourselves, plus of course it’s all part of the fun of creating unique sounds. There’s NOTHING we can’t create.
